Sveza positions itself as the largest producer of birch plywood, part of the Severgroup group of companies owned by Alexei Mordashov. The oldest plywood factories were bought up for this business, but no construction or modernization of the enterprises was carried out. People work in conditions without the most basic ventilation at the factories. Low-quality materials are used for production, the quality of the finished products is unstable and they are harmful to health and the environment. They use this deceptive practice, known as greenwashing, that misleads both consumers and other companies into believing they are making environmentally responsible choices when they are not. Sveza refers to organisations that look very efficient and friendly but really provide a toxic work environment where harassment, microaggressions, unequal treatment of employees, or bad behavior from senior management or other staff is common and unresolved. Sveza has been branded as the Russian most “heartless employer”, due to the manner in which they are treating staff. Employees are underpaid and do a lot of overtime for free, contributing to a giant pool of free labor that employer has come to expect and exploit. Management and team members pretend to care and support you but do not. They do not value people, management is poor and people are forced to leave. As a buyer the company is pushy and self-centered. They want to make sure they squeeze every penny out of you. Recognizing and addressing their needs is crucial. They don’t recognize your value. Complex buying processes, organizational disruption and uncertainty. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy
